Derek Forbes had played bass on the single 'p:machinery' and joined the band and played in place of Ralph for the 'Outside World' Tour. Brian McGee was a cohort of Simple Minds and a fellow Scot and joined to provide percussion.
'Wishful
Thinking' was released as a remix album of 6 of the Propaganda tracks, but
had been remixed by Paul Morley and Robert Krauschaar of ZZT and did not
achieve the hoped for success in the charts. Tensions were rumoured (and
apparent) within the band, and Claudia left following the tour. There were
rumours of personality disputes, possibly compounded by the tension of Claudia
and Paul Morley's marriage.
Following
the split by Claudia, the band were faced with contractual problems with
ZTT and were unable to release any material for over a year. The band were
officially disbanded. Michael Mertens worked for a television company, Ralph
went back to working in a bank and Suzanne returned to the professional
jewellery trade.
